Puppy problems

[Ren was kneeling next to his bed, holding a squeaky toy and trying to coax out the puppy that was underneath, happily chewing on one of his shoes.]

Bring it here, Kaze.

[But the puppy cheerfully ignored him. Anyone in the studio care to help him? His feet were getting cold.]

2.
[With some help, Ren had managed to get Kaze out from under the bed and to give up his shoe...but then the puppy had managed to get the other one and took off for the rest of the ship.

By some strange set of circumstances, Ren had a hard time catching up to him.]

Kaze, drop it!

[Apparently, however, a mad Ren meant playtime, and Kaze only wagged his tail.]

[COFFRET and Eri were heading through the area with Mepple riding in her arms when they noticed the pair.]

Ah, a dog desu! [COFFRET is going to make a beeline towards it!]

[As he completely ignored Ren, Kaze noticed COFFRET coming toward him. That wasn't a dog or a human. He let out a curious, muffled bark--his mouth was full of shoe, you see--as COFFRET came closer.]

[COFFRET floated over and plop, sat on his head, playing with his ears.]

Under the bed. Haven't had any luck getting him out.

[And from underneath the bed came a happy bark for Arika, before Kaze went back to chewing up Ren's shoe.]

He got my shoe, then decided to take it under there when I tried to get it back.

[There was another bark, as if to tell Ren that he wasn't getting his shoe back until Kaze was done.]

Adette didn't think she was drunk... but when a puppy went running down the hall way she did have to stop and check herself.
It wasn't until she was nearly topped by the boy chasing the dog did she realize, she was in fact, sober.

Once she had put two and two together, it was obvious what was going on here.

"Geeze, I'm sorry. I wasn't- you know what, never mind, that puppy is getting away!" What woman could resist the call of a cute puppy, especially when followed by a cute young man.

"Kaze, get back here!" Ren called.

But with Adette joining the chase, Kaze figured it must be a game of tag! So he started running faster.

And the chase was on!
It was almost scary, how fast Adette could run in high heels. Her long legs made catching up to the runaway puppy seem do-able, but the damn dog was faster than she was have anticipated.

Whatever we picked up in Corinth. [And he was going to have to take a second look at the bags of dog food they'd gotten there. It wasn't TOO crazy a suggestion, given how big the city or at least the Power Rangers were on the "bio-field."]

[Rounding a bend, however, Ren would find that the dog had actually stopped, and in fact was being held by Kazuki and enthusiastically licking his face.]

[Kaze gave a quick, happy yip in Ren's direction before trying to lick Kazuki again.]

[Lucchini's actually giggling from where she's lying on the floor doing some doodles near Philip's work bench.]

You want me to coax him out? I think I have a short bread cookie. [yep she's checking her jacket pockets for said snack]

[Lucchini found the cookie and is now on her hands and knees with said cookie in hand under the bed for the puppy.]

Come on Kaze, you come out and we'll go see if Tsukasa's made more cookies, how's that sound?

[Kaze crept up, sniffing. Mmm, cookie. And quickly, he made to snatch it out of Lucchini's hand.]

[Turning a corner, however, Ren will find Samus kneeling, letting Kaze smell her hand by way of greeting as the puppy laps at it happily. She's good with animals - about as much as she's bad with people. She raises her head to look at Ren]

What remains of that shoe is yours, I presume.

[Ren sighed in frustration as Kaze looked at him for a moment, his tail wagging, before going back to licking Samus. He should have thought to pick up more supplies in Corinth.]

Yeah. Kadoya's going to have to owe me a new pair.

[Ren was at his wits' end by this point, chasing Kaze all over the ship and getting him away from his things. But when Yoshika came by with food, Kaze immediately dropped the shoe and ran over to her, wagging his tail and jumping at her legs, trying to get at the food.]
